Go walking at your own pace and download free maps and route guides for walks from YHA hostels across England and Wales.

The YHA Festival of Walking aims to encourage walking for health and wellbeing by creating a programme of free, supported and safe-space walks for those who are interested in walking but have yet to take their first steps, haven’t walked for some time, or are looking for groups to walk with. During the 2022 festival, experienced BMC walk leaders ran free, organised social walks from selected YHA locations all over the country. Even better, the routes are now available online for you to follow in your own time. Pick your difficulty level from easy to more challenging, or choose Accessible routes close to YHA hostels.
